  1. Hi, I have to tell you that I’ve been trying to get a good, curly permanent and have had trouble finding someone who even knows how to do it, let alone does a good job. Usually, Emile Jesmer at Tangles does my hair but I believe he’s retired now and, if not, I can’t sit in his chair for the 5 hours it always takes him to do my hair. (that is NOT because my hair is super long or anything, he just talks a lot, lol). I’m only interested in a Master Stylist unless there is a stylist there that is the absolute best at perms. In the last 5 years, I’ve tried 2 places, one has closed. The other was the Bonaparte Spa in Harrisville. On May 18th, she did a perm but, as sweet as she was, I don’t believe she knew what she was doing with perms, she said she only does about one a year. It didn’t curl. She had me come back on June 1st, used Olaplex, and permed it again. It curled fine but lasted only about 3 weeks. I know everyone is into coloring their hair now, but I just like mine super curly. It makes my life much easier. What I’d like to do is set up an appointment with the Master Stylist, Chalaine, to have my hair just trimmed, conditioned, and talk about a perm in the future. I can’t do the perm right now because, I just had it done in June and it might be too soon, but mainly because I’m having major back surgery on Aug. 31st. (Unless it can be done before then and rinsing my hair can be done standing and bent over. I can’t lie back in the chair at this time). My hair is not colored, it’s a fine consistency and a little thin on top due to weight loss surgery. If you think you can help me, let me know. Here’s a link to the type of curl I’d like. https://images.app.goo.gl/JmLAH1hHWFSS45S46 Please, please don’t tell me it can be done by someone unless they are really good at it. If it’s a good perm, I’ll not only stick with you for years but so will my mom and anyone else I can convince. When the stylists know how to perm, my hair perms beautifully. Oh, and I have the Olaplex leave-in condition and the #6 Bond Smoother. Thanks, Julie
